Sophisticated equipment and other types of noisy activities generate a cacophony of sounds in our residences in addition to traffic noise. With today’s noise levels requirements in residential spaces, we have been adopting new standards of construction to reduce noise. It is therefore essential to anticipate the client’s needs in designing quiet buildings. Privacy at home is, in theory, the basic right of everyone!

Public and civic facilities such as libraries, museums and galleries also demand good acoustics. In Council Chambers and Courtrooms, a clear understanding of speech is necessary. Worship facilities (Churches, Mosques, etc.) require as well acoustic design attention for better speech intelligibility characteristics.

Hospitals, Laboratories & Research Centers need to provide a suitable environment for the patients' rest and staff productivity keeping in mind that in hospitals design, hygiene and medical efficiency are a priority. Basic planning of these facilities can eliminate most of the acoustic problems.

New complex facilities include different types of buildings and therefore different types of activities. Acoustic measures should be considered to make sure we achieve the desired acoustic design criteria in every space without any possible annoyance or noise and vibration intrusion.

Privacy in meeting and conference rooms as well as noise control of complex engineering installations are essential design criteria in offices' buildings. For open-plan offices and workstations, adding the right amount of absorbent material is important in controlling the internal acoustic conditions desired.

Noise control in sports halls is needed mainly for participatory or spectator sports. Reverberation time should also be controlled to avoid having extremely high noise levels within the halls. The locations of the sport rooms should also be considered.
